How to get from Cam Ranh Airport to Nha Trang

You land at Cam Ranh Airport (CXR) — it’s about 35 km to Nha Trang, a 40–70 minute ride along the sea. There are a few options; here they are by price and convenience (2026 prices, may change), plus what to do about transport once you’re in town.

Transfer options

• Bus #18 (Dat Moi) — the cheapest: ~60,000 ₫, 45–70 min. Runs roughly every 30–60 minutes, ~6:00 to ~22:00, along the seafront, stopping near hotels. Ideal on a budget.
• Grab (ride app) — the best price/convenience balance: ~350,000–550,000 ₫, 35–50 min. You need data (local SIM) and the app.
• Metered taxi — ~500,000–700,000 ₫. Only take Mai Linh (green) or Vinasun (white); avoid unmarked touts at the exit.
• Private transfer (book ahead) — fixed price, driver meets you with a sign. Handy with luggage or family.

Do this right at the airport

Get a local SIM (needed for Grab and maps) and withdraw some cash — the bus and small vendors don’t take cards.

Then — switch to a bike
