How to ride safely at night

• Check lights and indicators — you must be clearly visible. Low/high beam, brake light, turn signals.
• Be visible — light or reflective clothing beats dark.
• Slow down — potholes, speed bumps, pedestrians and animals are harder to see at night.
• Be careful on poorly lit streets and alleys.
• Keep your distance — more drink-drivers in the evening. Be predictable, don’t weave.
• Don’t drink and ride — the strictest offence. If you drink, take Grab/taxi.
